My best friend was trying out when we were in HS and I was always loud and flexible so I thought I'd go with her. We both made it on but she stayed and I only lasted a season because honestly after awhile the girls annoyed me.

Oh and as cliche as this is I also had the biggest crush on one of the football players. Had it since we were in the 3rd grade together. So that helped. (And I did eventually get him)
