the hayloft is a community that anyone who is over 18 can join. To write or create art for the hayloft is different. For that you need to have written something that is high quality nc-17 luke/noah or van/jake and have one of the other writers recommend you to the moderators (that would be ithilien22 or me).
You can see a list of who currently has posting access to the hayloft on the community's profile. Ithilien and I have just snagged some people after reading their fic and said: you. we need you for the hayloft.
Honestly, a big part of this for me is that I know people who read luke_noah are under 18. So i wanted a place that made me feel safer to post because it was clearly labeled as an adult community. But also, because I'm a snob, and I want goooooood stuff collected somewhere.
