I went to visit my friend [livejournal.com profile] katomyte in NYC this weekend. Had a blast. Spent saturday day time walking around the city. Spent saturday night and sunday morning watching Dark Angel episodes with Jensen Ackles in them.

Just for the record, I feel like a dirty old man. Seriously. I just don't think I should have had such an intense ohmygodwantnownownow a. about a celebrity, b. a celebrity many years ago, c. i had a whole bunch of more reasons but all of them end in my toes curling and me panting with bizarro celebrity lust.

In other news, I continue to be all angsty within my fandom of choice. I need to jump fandoms or something. I keep hearing angsty music and going "oh, that would be perfect for how Luke or Noah is feeling right now." Tonight's music of choice was Pet Shop Boys Jealousy.

I can picture Luke being at the farm, lying on his bed, thinking about what happened, maybe tossing a hackey sack up in the air and catching it. He doesn't want to think about Noah and Ameera, doesn't want to think about why he hasn't heard from Noah in twelve hours, doesn't want to think about what might be going on, even though realistically he knows nothing is going on, but it doesn't stop the pain, the fear, the vision that's flitting through his mind. He's so gay that he'd totally be listening to the pet shop boys and would absolutely identify with the lyrics. (For those not in the know, you can find the lyrics behind the cut.)

At dead of night, when strangers roam
The streets in search of anyone who'll take them home
I lie alone, the clock strikes three
And anyone who wanted to could contact me
At dead of night, 'till break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It's much too late

Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

I never knew time passed so slow
I wish I'd never met you, or that I could bear to let you go
At dead of night, 'till break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It's much too late

Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy
Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy
Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

I never knew 'till I met you

The appeal of Teh Ackles cannot be denied. GUH. I've been a fan of his since Dark Angel.

I'm having trouble feeling the angst with Luke and Noah. When I listen to angsty songs I think, "This is too angsty for Luke and Noah." HAHAHA. I tried to come up with an Erasure song for them but couldn't...do you have Andy Bell's album "Electric Blue"? There are a couple of songs there that seemed appropriate, but they were more love/happy songs than angsty ones.

My stories keep having happy endings in the end ... or at least not too too angsty ... so I keep starting with the emo music and then moving in to happier stuff.

I don't have Electric Blue. The wifey might. Any and all music suggestions appreciated. I'll take a look for it on itunes or @ bestbuy or something later tonight.

is there anything too angsty for a couple on a soap opera?

Do you have either Keane album? The second one is particularly angsty--apparently it was written when the band members weren't getting along. Heh. The first one is a bit less angsty, but there's this one song that always reminds me of Nuke's first kiss: "Your Eyes Open" particularly this part:

For a moment your eyes open and you know
All the things I ever wanted you to know
I don't know you, and I don't want to
Till the moment your eyes open and you know

You know how Noah leaned in to kiss Luke and they touched lips and then pulled back and looked at each other before diving in again? Right there. *faints*

Those are totally the perfect lyrics for that, and yes, they go so well with that moment when they re-open their eyes and *sigh*

I have some Keane, but not a lot. I like all of it that I've heard. Maybe I'll have to go find some more. It can be my smut-break.

I can send you some if you want. I'll send you that Your Eyes Open one. But tomorrow, I'm too tired tonight...

I don't really know Luke and Noah, but Erasure's "Always" is a nice romantical song that's not too angsty. Though if you want to go for the DEEP ANGST, I'd pick Against My View from their live in Nashville album. That would be PERFECT for Luke and Noah. But sad. Very sad.

Um. Sorry for butting in, but I love Erasure. *koffs*

*grins* butting in is always welcome. Especially about Erasure. Extra especially about Erasure. I went to find a bunch of my CDs in honor of slipping into the cracks of being a fangirl, but I can't find it. So I'm going to go on a buying frenzy after work. I'm so tickled.
