So I forgot my toothbrush and floss to bring to school for my NYE resolution, instead I'm working on being organized. So I thought I might make some friend groups so not all of you need to see my stuff if you don't want.

i'm kinda tired, and i'd like to take a nap before heading out for indian tonight. however, i'm not going to do that because then i might miss requesting my movie at J2_everafter.

WTF is wrong with me?

Okay, so this is huge for me. Beyond huge. And I don't really know how to thank everyone that has been apart of this with me. I'm at this odd loss of words. What's going on with this big emo freak, you may be asking. Well, I can tell you.

I just totaled up all my Fanfic from this year written or co-written by me. (And I have one more story still to post before the year ends). But so far, to date for the year 2008:

126,682 words of Fanfic spread across 3.5 fandoms. Mainly ATWT (luke/noah), but the .5 is for RPS of those two. Plus Criminal Minds and 1 NCIS drabble.

I don't know about those of you who write seriously, but for someone like me who has been catastrophically stuck in a rut for several years this was, honestly, beyond amazing. Where before I thought of myself as someone who liked to dabble in writing, I now think of myself as a writer. It's really mindblowing.


I also wrote 28,653 words of original fic this year that I submitted to an actual contest.

Seriously, could not have done any of this without the amazing support that I've received here.

So thank you all from the bottom of my fingers and my heart. You're the best.

Spoilers: This is completely AU for the boys. So yeah, any relation to the story line is minor. Facts I kept were the Colonel, Noah's mom, and Oakdale. Other characters resemble themselves, but everyone, by definition is not quite him/her self.
Disclaimer: As I said, this is AU. The characters belong to CBS and P&G and possibly others, but definitely not me. That is the real travesty of all of this.

1. How can Timothy Hutton and Christian Kane as their characters on Leverage make me want to do dirty dirty things to them, and more importantly, watch them do them to each other. I know it's only been on for two episodes but someone has to have started a leverage community. I need to find it. Or I need to encourage others to write for it. Or I need to sneak into poisontaster's AKB community and write chris kane + tim hutton (who apparently has been seized but i don't know more and need to research it) when slaves fall in love fic.

2. Someone on my friends list wrote some van/jake S&M club fic. It wasn't done, but it was started. And I. Can't. Find. It. Fess up, flist. Which one of you was it? j525, i kinda think it was you. Am I wrong? Where did it go.

3. While driving to face a strange moment in the history of my real life, I was listening to Cry Cry Cry and heard The Kid followed by The Ballad of Mary Magdalen. I was so caught up in the emotions of those two songs side by side, and all of a sudden I had this idea for a new story. Great Depression era traveling circus + selkie or merman + runaway gay boy. Do others of you do this? Do you hear a song and have it just hit you in the gut with the emotion of it?

4. Research stuff and things. I need to find some books on The Great Depression and more on traveling circuses. I need to think in sepia tones and cirque du soleil before cirque du soleil existed. I can see the world forming in the edge of my mind, but it isn't there yet. Recommendations for links/books/etc that you think I should know are appreciated.

5. I'm looking for music with circus references. I have The Kid by Cry Cry Cry. I have Monkey in the Middle (or whatever it is) by Suzanne Vega. I have Damn Everything But The Circus by The Story. What else do I need? Ask your friends, ask your neighbors. The more songs the merrier.

6. I realized that this past friday was my Fanniversary. I posted my first ever fanfic on 12/12/07. merepersiflage is a foul temptress and I have been captivated ever since. Thank you. I wanted to celebrate all things fic in my life by posting a companion piece to the first one. I might still do that. But it will be late. In the mean time, I am celebrating by taking pencil to paper and starting part 6 of the interview. It's hurting my soul a little bit to see my poor rentboy noah so fucked up, but that's nothing next to how hurt luke is currently. Those boys. There will be some of this posted later tonight for anyone interested.

7. I joined a community which, if I participate, would have me writing j2. Technically, I suppose, what I submitted to Samhain could be classified as j2 AU, but not really. I'm not sure of what I think of dipping my toes into those waters. It's seriously intimidating. But it's also Disney movies done j2 style. And some of my favorites are wanting to do it. I have until Jan 4th to decide. There's time.

8. Speaking of Samhain ... It is the 14th. I have ten days in which to hear something from them. Ten. More. Days. Ack.

Ithilien pimped out remixthedrabble and several of us jumped on the bandwagon. Myself included.

I did two drabbles. One for Luke/Noah and one for NCIS. I've never written in NCIS and I'm not so good with the drabbling, so this was a big big big challenge for me. I think they came out pretty well.
